YAOUNDÉ: GENDARMES SEARCH PROPERTY LINKED TO MERCY OF GOD MINISTRY FOUNDER

Gendarmes have searched a property in Nkoabang, Yaoundé, reportedly linked to Kedi Samuel Kenechukwu, founder of Mercy of God Ministry, as investigations continue following the discovery of 20 people reportedly locked inside a basement at a church-related property in Ngousso.

The search was conducted on Wednesday, September 9, in the presence of Deputy State Counsel Ndoumbè Etéki Arnold S. and the Commander of the Centre Gendarmerie Legion, Colonel Désiré Nguélé.

According to reports, investigators found five vehicles, a pit estimated at about two metres deep, large quantities of food supplies, functioning freezers and approximately 30 rooms on the property.

Kedi Samuel Kenechukwu is reportedly still at large.

20 People Reportedly Rescued

The operation follows the rescue of 20 people — 10 women, 8 men and two children aged six and seven — who were reportedly found locked inside a basement at a property in the Montée Mosquée Ngousso area.

Residents had reportedly raised concerns over suspicious activities around the isolated property, including people allegedly entering and leaving while wearing hoods.

Authorities Continue Investigations

Authorities are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the two locations and seeking to establish exactly what activities were taking place there.
