Africa is a continent of extraordinary geographic and cultural range. The Mediterranean north, the Sahel, the equatorial forest belt, the eastern highlands, and the southern regions each connect people to different environments and historical routes.
Good continental storytelling should resist flattening that variety. It should make room for local histories, city life, rural knowledge, languages, creative industries, and the links between African communities and the wider world.
