The situation has reportedly forced some consumers to move from one sales point to another in search of a 12.5kg cylinder.

Authorities have indicated that there is no nationwide shortage, while efforts are reportedly ongoing to improve supply and distribution.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any unjustified price increases.
