Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions are preparing to launch their campaign for qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Cameroon will face Comoros on September 24, 2026, at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium in Garoua in their opening Group G qualifying match.
The team, coached by David Pagou, was named among the teams beginning the first round of AFCON 2027 qualifying fixtures during the September international window.
After the match against Comoros, Cameroon is scheduled to travel to Brazzaville to face the Republic of Congo on September 29.
The Lions are in Group G, alongside Comoros, Namibia and the Republic of Congo.
According to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the first two matchdays of the AFCON 2027 qualifiers are scheduled between September 24 and October 6, 2026. The tournament itself will be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda from June 19 to July 17, 2027. (Confédération Africaine de Football)
