🚨 PREGNANT WOMAN REPORTEDLY ELECTROCUTED AFTER FLOODWATER ENTERS HOME IN DOUALA

A tragic incident has reportedly been recorded in Bonabo neighbourhood, Douala, following overnight flooding that affected homes in the area.

According to reports, a pregnant woman was reportedly electrocuted inside her bedroom after floodwater entered the house, allegedly coming into contact with an electrical source.

The incident occurred as heavy rainfall caused water levels to rise in several parts of Douala, leaving a number of neighbourhoods flooded and disrupting normal activities.

Reports indicate that personnel from the Bépanda Gendarmerie later intervened and evacuated the woman's body from the residence.

The tragedy has raised renewed concerns about the dangers posed by flooding, particularly when water comes into contact with electrical installations, exposed wires or household appliances.

Residents in flood-affected areas are being urged to exercise extreme caution and, where possible, switch off electricity at the main supply before entering flooded homes. People are also advised to avoid contact with electrical equipment or exposed cables in areas affected by standing water.
